Climate change and mining operations kill the Magellanic penguins

Since time immemorial, the human being has been responsible for the extinction of many animal species. Our horrible behaviors have tragically annihilated hundreds of animals over time.

One of the species that has recently come into the spotlight are penguins, more specifically those that live in Punta Tombo, in southern Argentina and Punta Arenas, in Chile.. The population of this animal has been reduced by half in less than 25 years in Argentina and end up killing the species in Chile.

These last few years have been the worst due to the high level of contamination in the area, caused by coal mining and climate change. The most affected are the baby penguins that die due to changes in temperatures in their habitat.

Definitely, a tragic and alarming situation, of which different animalist groups and activists from all over the world want to raise awareness, to protect this species that has existed in these areas for thousands of years. Without a doubt, climate change wipes out everything in its path, What can we do to prevent it?
